Frank J. Cooper, age 84, of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 4, 2014 while surrounded by his family.

Born in Media, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1929, Frank was a son of the late John Cooper and Adele Pietraczak Cooper. He honorably served his country in the US Air Force with the 811th Air Police Squadron. Frank worked as a supervisor with General Chemical located in Marcus Hook, PA and retired in 1992 after a long career.

A devout Catholic, he was a longtime member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church. He was a member of VFW Post #0134. Frank was a proud supporter and member of the NRA and a longtime patron and admirer of Longwood Gardens. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Rhoades and his sister, Agnes Klekotka. Frank is survived by his children, Donna Yuscavage and husband Dr. John of Mt. Top, PA, Patricia LaRue and husband Marty of Middletown, DE, Karen Phillips and husband Mike of Kingsport, TN and Buddy Loveland and wife Ellie of Delaware City, DE; brother, John Cooper and wife Roz of Claymont, DE; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Thursday morning, April 10, 2014, at the Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary R.C. Church Outreach Program, at the address listed above and/or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
