Gerlinde Reiner Schreiber

Gerlinde Reiner Schreiber, age 84, of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016.
Born in Erbach, Germany on May 11, 1932, Gerlinde was the daughter of the late Josef and Krenze Reiner. Gerlinde will always be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother.
In addition to her parents, Gerlinde was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ludwig Schreiber.
She is survived by her daughter, Ingrid Callaghan (Patrick) of Middletown, DE; and grandson, Michael A. Callaghan of Middletown, DE.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 in the afternoon on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720, where a visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Second Floor, Newark, DE, 19711.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a real pleasure to have met your grandmother. I thought it was really sweet of her to take the time to talk to me about her time in Germany when she was young. She had explained the pictures on the wall and what they reminded her of. That was a lovely time. Thanks for sharing your grandma with me.
