Gloria (Abromson) Treco, age 91, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

Born in Ardmore, PA on September 1, 1925, Gloria was the daughter of the late Max and Esther (Mankin) Abromson. She graduated in 1942 from Lower Merion High School and after attending college, made her career as an administrator with the former Claymont School District and the Brandywine School District.

Following her retirement, Gloria enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. She loved and adored her family and was truly happiest while in their company, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eternally beloved husband, Arthur L. Treco; and her brother, Morris Abromson. Gloria is survived by her sons and their wives, Michael Treco (Cyndi), Douglas Treco (Catherine) and Brian Treco (Sangeeta Anand); grandchildren, Haley, Bridget and Palak; and nieces, Debra (Abromson) Shore, Cindi (Price) Coombs and Carolyn (Price) Johnson; and nephew, Richard Price.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday morning, November 21, 2016 in the Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Delaware, 14 Garfield Way, Newark, DE 19713.

  • Gloria Treco was an wonderful and lovely person and colleague. I worked with her in the Brandywine School District. She was smart as a whip and a quick thinker. Everyone loved Gloria. She was an angel of grace and had a heart of gold, love and giving. God called Gloria to heaven on her day and date; She heard her name, God stretched out HIS arms and Gloria took flight and landed safely in HEAVEN. She graced us for 91 years. She will be missed; but her memories and love will live forever.
