H. Edwin “Ed” Kennedy
H. Edwin Ed Kennedy, age 93, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Born on May 15, 1921 in Sayre, PA, he was the son of the late Homer E. Kennedy, Sr. and Helen Anna Goeke Kennedy.
Ed graduated from Sayre High School, Class of 1940. On August 12, 1942 he joined the U.S. Army Signal Corp. and spent the next two years attending classes at Pennsylvania State College, Philadelphia Signal Depot Civilian Training Division at Temple, Fordham University and NYU.
While in the US Army Signal Corp., he proudly served his country during World War II with the 9
