  • Grandmom, a hole will forever be in my heart without you here. So many wonderful memories. I will always think of the fresh baked cookies that you always had on hand that you patiently and lovingly showed me how to make. How I longed for a stylish pair of Jams shorts in the 1980’s but my parents felt were not necessary. You got a pattern and together we sewed the cutest shorts I had ever seen. The trips with our cousin’s to Cape Henlopen. You were the first one wading out to the water where without fail, the largest wave would come along and flatten your immaculately styled hairdo. You didn’t care though. Always stoic and brave, even after losing 2 children. I remember in 8th grade having to write about the person I admired most I chose you Grandmom. You would be disappointed in me for crying so much over your passing but I cant imagine my world without you. I love you Grandmom!

  • She was a woman who could touch your life without any words. It was her faith, her love, and her sweet demeanor that just reached out to all that she came into contact with. I barely knew her yet she touched my heart with her love and her faith. She will be missed by her beloved family but also by many others some probably unknown because she had her quiet ways of touching all our hearts. She was my husbands MotherInLaw and he still loved her and I instantly loved her the moment we met. Goodbye beautiful lady, and we will meet again someday but not on earth.

  • I had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Dalecki last summer when I was taking rehab for shoulder surgery. She came in regularly and rode the exercise bike like the champ she was. She was gracious, funny, and always just fun to be around. Her positive attitude and uncomplaining work ethic was inspirational to the rest of us who were much younger and often less motivated. Even though the time I spent around Mrs. D was limited, I really appreciated her charming spirit and I know she will take her beautiful light into the new world she has entered and which she richly deserves.

  • Debra, John and Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Hazel’s passing. She was such a sweetheart. I have so many memories of her and Uncle Charlie at their house so many years ago. She had such a good sense of humor and I loved hearing her laugh. I know she was a great wife, mother, and nurse. She was a wonderful person with such a resilient personality. Please know you’re in my thoughts and prayers!

    Love,

    Robin

  • I was sorry to read of the passing of Mrs. Dalecki. I recognized the nursing cap right away as being from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. I did not graduate from “the Memo” (St Francis grad) but worked many years with Mrs. D. through the rough years of nursing. I am a “few” years younger and worked part time after my son was born. I was always glad to see that she was on duty. She was always pleasant to work with, determined to get the job done. We had some interesting times, even some fun times. May she rest in peace.
