Helen B. LeGower Heitz

Helen B. LeGower Heitz, age 96, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

Helen was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 24, 1918, and was the daughter of the late John A. LeGower and Rose Direso LeGower. She made her career with the DuPont Company where she worked as an administrator in the exports department, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service.

A devout Catholic, Helen was a longtime parishioner of Holy Family Church. She gave of her time and talents as a member of the altar society and also worked in the parish office.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren M. Hietz. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and by her extended family at Holy Family R.C. Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Monday morning, June 9, 2014, at the Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE, where family and friends may call from 10 am until am. A committal service will follow at 2pm at the Westminster Cemetery, 701 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to the Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
