Helen Virginia Williams, age 83, of Newark, DE passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014.
Born in Bear, DE on June 8, 1930, Helen was a daughter of the late James R. Walker and Mary Grimes Cooper Walker. She made her career as a printing operator and worked first for CannErikson and then later at Shamrock Printing in Newark.
An avid reader, she enjoyed books of all genres. In her leisure time, Helen liked catching up on her favorite television shows. She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate individual by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John T. Williams, who passed away in 1981, sister, Jean Rose Kessell, and a brother, William H. Walker. Helen is survived by her brother, Robert T. Walker and wife Julia of Pomfret, MD; sister, Frances A. Walker of Newark, DE; nephews, Robert T. Walker, Jr. of Waldorf, MD and David W. Walker of White Plains, MD; and great nieces, Sierra and Keri.
Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
