Jalen G. Worthen

Jalen G. Worthen

October 20, 1993 – January 6, 2018

Jalen Gabriel Worthen, born from the union of Hubert L.
Worthen, Jr. and Valerie A. Worthen on October 20, 1993
at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Center, New York.
Jalen attended St. Georges High School where he
obtained his Microsoft Business Certification. He
graduated from Dickenson High School. He studied
Business Administration at Wilmington University.
Jalen began his working career at Bank of America and
ended his career as an Assistant Manager at AT&T.
Jalen absolutely loved his time at AT&T.

Jalen had a strong love for his family. He adored his
Sister Jasmine and would do anything for her and let her
do anything to him. We could always count on Jalen’s
smile and reliability. Jalen’s accomplished passion
included flying Piper aircrafts. He was a self-taught
guitarist and pianist. Jalen would always say, “I Love
My Family.” And, he truly proved his unconditional love
for his family.

Jalen was our pride and joy and we are truly devastated
by his sudden death. Our family’s faith is strong and we
look forward to the promises that we know will be
fulfilled.

Jalen sadly leaves to mourn; his Parents Hubert L.
Worthen Jr. and Valerie A. Worthen, his Sister Jasmine
B. Worthen, his Grandmothers Barbara A. Allen and
Justine Worthen, his Aunt Veronica M. Allen-Anderson
(Dennis D. Anderson Jr.) and Michelle L. Anderson
(Dwayne D. Anderson), his Uncle Randy Smith and
Malcolm Worthen (Danielle Worthen), his Cousins
Hubert Taze Worthen, Dejah Worthen, Denisha T.
Anderson, Dwayne D. Anderson Jr., Tira Worthen,
Dennis T. Anderson and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins
and close Friends.

My heart hurts and my heavenly father heart hurts knowing that Satan’s world is so cruel that it would give those that love our creator so much heartache. We look forward to the scripture being fulfilled in Isaiah 65:17 “the former things will not be called to minds nor will they come up in the heart” Our Prayers are with all of you. The Brockett’s

I learned of the tragic accident that has taken the life of your dear son, Jalen; and my heart aches for you. My foremost thought is that his passing is felt by many and will be so for many years to come. May the God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3, 4) console you and your family throughout this difficult time.

My dear brother and sister, we extend our condolences to your family and your friends. It is very difficult to lose any family member but losing a child or a sibling makes the pain even greater. Your family is strong and no doubt our extended family will rally behind to hold you up and strengthen you. Take comfort that Jehovah knows the heart and every emotion. He will provide comfort. Much love to you all.
