James Damien Hoover
Mr. James Damien Hoover, age 31, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011.
James served his country for 4 years in the Navy and 2 years in the Army. He was an accomplished chess player and enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. His mentor, John Crompton, has been a lifelong friend. James will be forever missed by everyone whose life he touched.
He was predeceased by his father, David Hoover; his paternal grandparents, Claris and Florence Hoover; and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Margie Malin. He is survived by his wife, Brandy Hoover; sons, Joshua and Brian Hoover; and stepchildren, Alexis, Sydnie, and Ethan James Bell. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Joy and Thomas Preston of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Judith Jones, and adopted sister, Sharon Falin, both of Punxsutawney, PA; brothers, Raymond (Chrissy) Jones of Smyrna, DE; Matthew (Kathy) Jones Sr. of MD; Adrian (Brooke) Hoover of West Grove, PA; and Mark (Jaima) Preston of West Chester, PA. He was loved deeply and will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
