James Daniel Strain, age 47, of Newport, DE, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015.

A native Delawarean, James was born in Wilmington on July 30, 1967, and was the son of Daniel E. Strain and Jean (Ingham) Strain. He made his career as a mason.

James was preceded in death by his father, Daniel. He is survived by his mother, Jean of Middletown; son, James D. Strain, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Susan L. Brainard of Middletown; nieces, Laura M. Brainard and Amanda L. Jacobs (Sean) both of Middletown; and nephew, Jordan Brainard of Middletown.

Services and interment will be held privately.
