James I. “Jim” Sturgeon, Jr.

James I. Sturgeon, Jr., age 43, of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014.

Born on November 14, 1970 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Judith Silver Sturgeon and the late James I. Sturgeon, Sr.

In addition to his mother, Jim leaves many fond and cherished memories to his daughter, Stephanie N. Sturgeon of Baltimore, MD; siblings, Scott D. Sturgeon of Wilmington, Nancy L. Rohrer (Harry) of Wilmington, Terry L. Cole of Bear and Leslie A. Ridgway (Bill) of Elkton, MD, his longtime companion, Kat Cancellise; nieces, Lauryn Shelby and Shawn Rohrer and nephews, Marc Rohrer and Dustin Flowers.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may visit with his family from 10:00-11:00 am.  Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to a charity of choice.

    I did not know James personally but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy. When I lost my loved ones in death, I found comfort in God’s word the Bible. At John 5:28,29 Jesus Christ promised that “the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life…, I look forward to that time so much. That brings me comfort, and I hope it will bring you comfort to.
