James R. Lepore

Born December 22, 1990

James R. Lepore, age 24, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

A lifelong Delawarean, James was born in Newark on December 22, 1990, and was a son of Lewis J. Lepore, Jr. and Janice L. David. He was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School in Wilmington where he was a varsity soccer standout. James was most recently employed with Amazon where he worked in the company’s fulfillment center.

An avid outdoorsman and adventurer, he enjoyed camping, hiking and rock climbing. James adored animals, especially his faithful feline companion, Max. James will be remembered as a hard worker, a profound and intellectual thinker and someone who went out of his way to unselfishly help anyone in need. He was happiest in the company of his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

James is survived by his mother, Janice L. David and Ron Adams of New Castle; father and step mother, Lewis J. and Bonnie Lee Lepore of Sugar Land, TX; brothers, Jonathan Lepore of Houston, TX, Connor Lepore of Sugar Land, TX, Neil David of New Castle, Christopher Lichte of San Antonio, TX and William Lichte of Sugar Land, TX; maternal grandmother, Auden Steeley of Wilmington; and paternal grandmother, Betty Lepore of New Castle.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ministry of Caring, 506 N. Church Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the Sunday Breakfast Mission P.O. Box 352 Wilmington, DE 19899.

Jimmy was a very friendly individual and would always go out of his way to speak when I would see him in the neighborhood.
