Jane C. Manlove

October 19, 1940 - July 4, 2014

Jane C. Manlove, age 73, of Odessa, DE, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 4, 2014, at her home with her husband by her side.

Jane was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Odessa Fire Company and served many years as treasurer. She was also a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Odessa. Jane worked as a bookkeeper for many years in the construction business.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking and baking for them. Jane also enjoyed gardening and canning and freezing the vegetables she grew. She liked country music from the 90’s era and country line dancing.

Jane will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Wallis E. (Gene) Manlove and their daughters, Terry Vadala (Frank) of Middletown and Tracy Kingsbury (Bert) of Fair Hill, MD. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Vadala and Mary Kingsbury.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Monday evening, July 14, 2014, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation will be held from 6 pm until 7 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, it was Jane’s request that contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
