Jason R. Pita

Jason R. Pita, age 41, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
A native Delawarean, Jason was born in Wilmington on June 28, 1975, and was the son of Charles J. Pita, Sr. and the late Annette V. (Kinger) Pita, who died in 2009. He was a graduate of William Penn High School and attended Delaware Technical and Community College.
A tech buff, Jason enjoyed the challenge of repairing computers and was the go-to technician for those in need. He loved racing remote control cars and looked forward to four-wheeling with his father and brother in the coal banks near Marion Heights, PA. A devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Jason will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by father, Charles J. Pita, Sr. of New Castle; brother, Charles J. Pita, Jr. of New Castle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE where a memorial service will be held at at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to John Goodill, MD; Mary Gant; and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Christiana Hospital for the compassion and excellent care given to Jason and his family during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2004 Sproul Road, Ste 208, Broomall, PA 19008.
