Jeannette S. (Wichlinski) Smith, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2016.
A native Delawarean, Jeannette was born in Wilmington on August 15, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Konstanty and Stanislawa (Bielinska) Wichlinski. She devoted her life to caring for her beloved family and was a talented homemaker. Jeannette was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Beloved R.C. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Smith; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. Jeannette is survived by her 8 children, Joann, Paula, Jackie, Ron, Patrick, Paul, Rick and Scott; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016 at St. John the Beloved R.C. Church, 907 Milltown Rd, Wilmington, DE. Burial will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels Delaware, 100 W. 10th St., Ste 207, Wilmington, DE 19801.
