Jenny M. Wolf, age 88, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017.

A native Delawarean, Jenny was born in New Castle on August 19, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Bertha (Poteet) Megginson. She was a talented homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family.

Jenny lived in Prime Hook for many years, and even after moving from the area, held a special place in heart for the beach. In her leisure time, she enjoyed completing puzzle books, playing bingo, and was an avid reader. Jenny loved and adored her family and was happiest in the company of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar B. Wolf. Jenny is survived by her children, Paul B. Wolf of Bear, Judith Finochi (James) of Sebastian, FL, John Wolf (Beverly) of New Castle, Thomas Wolf (Linda) of New Castle, Edward Wolf (Gail) of Rehoboth and Joseph Wolf (Sandra) of Laurel; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday morning, May 8, 2017 in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.

  • Paul and family, so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I always enjoyed having conversations with her. I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. Let all your happy memories get you through this time of grief. God Bless

  • My Thoughts and Prayers go out to the entire Wolf Family during this tough time, sorry to hear about Mrs Wolf, She will be missed dearly ,I have lots of good memories running around the neighborhood in the earlier days with Ed and Joe, and Mrs and Mr Wolf had plenty of patience with us kids !!!
