In his leisure time, he liked deep sea fishing off the Long Island coast and on Sheephead Bay. Above all else, he was a devoted and adoring husband, father, grandfather and uncle who will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Sheila Purvis and Sister Nora McArt. John is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Ellen McArt Dudzinski; children, John W. • Dear Dudzinski family Johnny was a dear friend classmate and frat brother we struggled though the years at St John’s. Our careers took us all in different directions. I sought to contact him for decades unsuccessfully. I have wonderful memories. He was a good friend. My heart is heavy. I was proud to have known him for 4 years.
