John W. Williams IV
Mr. John W. Williams IV, age 27, of Townsend, DE, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
Born in Chester, PA, on April 28, 1984, John was a graduate of Middletown High School. He was a gifted mechanic throughout his life and greatly enjoyed working on his familys farm in Townsend. He was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Newark.
In his leisure hours, John looked forward to listening to all types of music, playing video games with friends, and reading, especially works by his favorite novelist, Stephen King. Well known for his compassionate nature and willingness to help anyone in need, he will be remembered most of all for his devotion to his beloved daughter, Lillian Grace, and his late fiance, Ashley Renee Tharp, Lillians mother, who died in 2009.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lillian Grace Williams; parents, John W. Williams, Jr. and Norma J. OBrien Williams; sisters, Jacquelynn M. Johnson (Matthew) and Jamie K. Williams; paternal grandparents, John and Marlene Williams; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Ann Fulton; and great grandmother, Violet Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 6, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 500 W. Chestnut Hill Road, Newark, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
