  • We love you dad, you will be sorely missed.

  • Such sadness in lost. The happy memories of summer visits
to DC, the smell of wood and varnish, gathering and snapping peas from the garden, staying up late to watch tv and eat ice cream or freshly sliced fruit, steamed crabs on the porch, opening presents around the fireplace the day after Christmas, these are the memories that warm my heart and bring me comfort in this time of grief. I love you, miss you, and thank you for your love and support you have given to me.

  • Tenderly May time ease your sorrow
Gently May friends ease your pain
    Softly May peace replace heartache
    And….May warmest memories remain

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers

  • I am so sorry to hear of your loss. When Ihave experienced the loss of a loved one, I found great
comfort in the words of Jesus, at John 11:11, where he likens death to being asleep, and at
John 5:28,29 – “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” What joy to
see our loved ones again !! For more comfort I use the website: http://www.jw.org.

  • Sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great guy. I still remember talking to him when I would stop by your house.

  • I learned everything I know about gardening & canning from my dear friend Joe. You will be dearly missed.

  • Dear Joe,

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful father and grandfather to six beautiful young women.
I will truly miss all of your stories, laughing around the dinner table and enjoying our time as a family.
Please know you were the foundation of the family. Your strength, kindness and support will only
continue through your children and their children.
    May peace be with you.

  • What can I say about Dad…Oh, hi Mom! Dad was a great “FATHER” and taught me how to provide for my kids and told me to teach them the right from wrongs in life…protect them and be there when they need help. Be strong and tough. He also taught me to be a “DAD”. Teach them how to have fun in life and laugh a little. He told me, one day you will discover a balance between the two and you will determine the percentages. He said to me “life is too serious…be a good person and treat others as you want to be treated..” Let God make the finale decision. And finally, he taught me how to be a good HUSBAND. Pick some one like your Mom and treat her like a queen. You only get one chance in life to find the right one so don’t screw it up…you will know when that one is around. Rest in Peace and I will see to it that Mom and Gina are taken care off….all my love….:-)

p.s. I hope I sent you the right pencil!!

  • Dad,

You will be missed in so many ways. Rest in Peace.

    Jay

  • Aunt Bea & cousins David, Gina, Jay, Rex & Cheryl,

I just heard about Uncle Joe’s death and I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I’m flooded with good memories of Uncle Joe, what a great man he was. I remember so fondly the times when we used to visit your family in DE and there was so much love, laughter, fun, and good cooking in your house. Take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and he is not alone, I’m sure my mom had a great big welcoming hug for him and they are all having a wonderful family reunion in heaven.

My warmest regards to all of you,
    Janie

  • My thoughts and prayers for peace and strength are with all of you ♥
