Joseph John Orlowski

Joseph John Orlowski, age 92, of Newark, DE, passed on to be with God on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
Born in Scranton, PA on December 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Stanley and Antosia (Budziewski) Orlowski. Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He made his career as pipe fitter with the DuPont Company, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service.
Active in his community, Joe gave of his time as a volunteer with the Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Fire Company, was a longtime member of Lt. J. Allison O’Daniel VFW Post No. 475 and a parishioner of Holy Angels R.C. Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his leisure time, Joe loved gardening alongside his wife, Doris.
He is survived by his wife, Alice “Doris” (Meeds) Orlowski; 4 daughters; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will be held at at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
