Joseph V. Gawronski

Joseph V. Gawronski, age 72, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

Born in Wilmington, DE on April 21, 1942, Joseph was a son of the late Steve Gawronski and Gladys (Parker) Gawronski. He made his career as a construction worker for many years prior to his retirement.

Joseph enjoyed being outdoors, especially time spent swimming in his pool and tending to his garden. He was an avid NASCAR fan. A devoted and loving family man, Joseph adored spending time with his grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Carolyn (Graziani) Gawronski; children, Steve Lyons (Amy) of Scottsdale, AZ, Debbie DePrisco (Michael) of New Castle, Michael Gawronski (Jill) of New Castle and Eric Gawronski (Angel) of Felton; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Family and close personal friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Joe’s life from 1 pm until 5 pm on Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2015 at his residence.
