Joseph Wayne Breeding, known fondly as “Wayne,” age 53, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

Born in Wilmington on June 30, 1962, Wayne was a son of the late Ander Frank and Catherine Marie (Pasquino) Breeding.

One of Wayne’s favorite pastimes was reading. He was a Civil War history buff and also enjoyed building models, especially planes and ships. Wayne was an animal lover with a huge heart. He loved spending time with his family, who he cared dearly for. Wayne will be missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David W. Breeding. Wayne is survived by his mother, Catherine; siblings, A. Rick Breeding of Newark, DE, Laura J. Rafine of Deepwater, NJ, A. Louise Paiper of New Castle, DE, Mark A. Breeding of Delaware City, DE, Robert T. Breeding of Forest, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 22, 2016, at the Delaware City Volunteer Fire Company, 815 5th St, Delaware City, DE, where a visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
