Jules C. Jones, age 23, of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 5, 2015.

Born in Newark, DE on September 12, 1991, Jules was the son of James E. Jones and Mary (Keeney) Jones. He was a graduate of Glasgow High School and later attended Delaware Technical and Community College. Jules previously worked as a warehouse technician for Amazon, but had recently enrolled in truck driving school.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and swimming. Jules also liked visiting local restaurants, traveling and shopping. He loved and adored his family and especially looked forward to spending time with his daughter.

In addition to his parents, Jules is survived by his daughter, Jayda Channel Chandler of New Castle, DE and soon to be born daughter, Jewel Calli Jones; sisters, Jamie Marché Jones and Jansi Lashai Jones; girlfriend, Taylor Butler; and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, April 11, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jones Children’s Memorial Fund, c/o Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711.

  • My heart goes out to the Jones family. Ive know them for years. Its rare to come across a family as close as they are. Jules and his two sisters were inseparable. I wish this upon no one. I send my deepest condolences and keep you all in my prayers. Rest easy my brother.

  • Jules nd I attended Middle school together. We weren’t “best friends” but we certainly were friends. We lost touch after I moved away in 8th grade but I never forgot about the fun we had at lunch or in gym class…
