  • My condolences to the Bowersox Family. Jeff taught me as an apprentice and then my son also had the privelege of working for him later. I was taught so much by Jeff about electrical, plumbing and gas work, and in a consistintly patient way, that served me well in my career and my life. I say my life because he taught me how to have patience and understanding with people. My son and I are so glad we had the opportunity to see Jeff before he passed.

  • Dear Mrs. Bowersox and family; I knew and served with Jeff in the 198th during the “sixties”. I remember him as always starched, pressed, with a snappy salute. To me he was first and for-most a good soldier and a patriot. I will always remember his easy going personality and his infectious smile. I remember he had a pet raccoon on a leash that he would bring to our drills, which everyone got a great kick out of watching him feed his “critter”. He was, as you know, a great guy. I cut out his picture and put it with all his and my “buddies”, who have gone before me, in my Army yearbook. I take it out and look at all my friends sometimes and still stay in touch with those I can to let them know about the others. I can assure you he will not be forgotten. With my deepest sympathy and regard, Joe Mulrooney.

  • Dear Joe,
What a nice surprise to hear from a soldier that served with Jeff. Yep, you are correct! He was always starched and pressed with very shiny boots. He would stay up half the night before drill week-end to be sure that he looked his best to serve his country.

The raccoon was not one of my favorite pets but he liked it and got a kick out of showing it to friends and family.

It is so nice that you keep in touch with some of the other soldiers that you served with. Do you know anything about Roland Moore or Ronny Davis? Jeff always enjoyed going to drill. If he didn’t have a family, I think that he would have made a career out of being in the military.

Thanks again Joe for the great memory of Jeff. We will cherish your expression of sympathy.
    Jeanne Bowersox
