Kathleen Anne McCann, age 69, of Aston, PA passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, in Philadelphia.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 24, 1945, Kathleen was a daughter of the late Constantinos A. Theodosiades and Anna A. Callahan Theodosiades. She made her career as a trust fund administrator with the Sun East Federal Credit Union in Aston and retired after many years of dedicated service.

In her youth, Kathleen was a standout athlete who excelled at both swimming and basketball. She was an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. In her leisure time, Kathleen loved trying her luck at the casinos and games of chance. She was an avid reader and was known to enjoy a good soul-cleansing drama. Kathleen was a life-long learner who understood the importance of trying new things. Above all else, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Anne McShane and Connie Vasiliades and a brother, Thomas Theodosiades. Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Brian D. McCann, Sr.; children, Brian D. McCann, Jr. (Christine), Thomas J. McCann (Lori), Patrick M. McCann (Kristie) and Kate McCann Kline (Mark); brothers, John Theodosiades (Barbara) and Daniel Theodosiades; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Brian, Emily, Meghan, Thomas, Stephanie, Patrick Jr., Ella and Jude; and special friends, Katherine Hornibrook, Ann Duncan and Nan Sheridan.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday evening, July 29, 2014 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014, at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Bally Road, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way, Ste. 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
