Kathleen L. Jacobs

Kathleen L. Jacobs, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 79, of Bear, DE, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015.
Kathleen was born in Lewistown, PA on March 20, 1935, and was a daughter of the late James L. and Kathryn Norris. She retired in 2000 after working for many years at a hospital based in Morris, IL and had also worked for the Delaware Luggage Company in Aston, PA.
Kathleen enjoyed attending various community functions at both the Moose and Lions Clubs with her husband. In her leisure time, she liked watching television and talking on the phone with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Jacobs, Sr., son, James C. Jacobs and daughter, Joyce E. Gott. Kathleen is survived by her son, Richard C. Jacobs, Jr. (Diane Hamby); daughter, Sherry L. Swanger; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and 1 great great granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday morning, January 16, 2015, at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2200 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
