Kathryn A. Twing

Kathryn A. Twing, age 92, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Born in Richmond, VA on February 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Russell Blanton and Mary (Brooking) Moore. Kathryn dedicated her life to her family as a talented and loving homemaker.
She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church in Wilmington for over 65 years participating as a Deacon and Elder. Kathryn enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved her family and her fondest memories were made at gatherings and reunions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Twing, Jr. Kathryn is survived by her son, David Twing; daughter, Elizabeth (Twing) Torrick; and granddaughter, Kara Twing.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Hanover Presbyterian Church, 1801 North Jefferson Street, Wilmington, DE. Interment will be held privately.

Please accept my sincere condolences, David, and your family, at the passing of your Mom. I recall visit your house when we were in Skyline Junior High and how she treated me so kindly, like a welcome guest when I was feeling nervous about intruding.

Kay was one of those persons whom were the backbone of Hanover Church, whether working on the Supersale, coffee hour, pot luck dinners. She will be missed. My sympathies to her family.
