Linda P. Wallace, age 67, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Nassawadox, VA on October 3, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Nellie C. (Dize) Parks. During college, she was inducted into the Who’s Who of College students. Linda dedicated her career as an RN with the Christiana Hospital and Limestone Medical Center.

Passionate about the arts, Linda enjoyed plays at the theater and watching movies. She loved travelling, especially to Europe, animals, nature, gardening, and crafting. Linda was a member of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church where she volunteered. She was a dedicated matriarch to her family and was very involved in their lives. She was also an endearing friend to many.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard H. Wallace; children, Jennifer Melanson (Christopher) of Culpepper, VA, Lauren Bernardo (Lance) of Elkton, MD and Richard Tyler Wallace of Newark, DE; and grandchildren, Mason and Sasha Bernardo of Elkton, MD.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Linda’s honor to: Alzheimer’s Association- Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

  • To Linda’s family ,…IM so sorry for your loss …it breaks my heart to hear that she is gone ……many years ago ….our daughters… Jennifer and our daughter Erica had Ballet together and Linda and I became good friends …. watching the girls and them become friends even to this day …Linda was a sweet and kind person who loved her family …God bless her and give her rest and peice with no pain ….till we see her again …Robyn and Walt Bower

  • My sincere condolences on the lost of Linda. I worked many years with Linda in the GI Lab at Christiana. We had some good times especially when she was pregnant with Tyler aka “little Joey” (inside joke) she will be surely missed.
