Lois A. Kucharski, age 72, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016.

Born in Shenandoah, PA on March 4, 1944, Mrs. Kucharski was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Isabelle (Adamaitis) Marchalonis. She made her career as an executive secretary with the DuPont Company, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

Mrs. Kucharski looked forward to visiting Rehoboth Beach with family and friends. In her leisure time, she adored baking delicious homemade treats to share. She will be remembered as a kind and gracious woman who was happiest in the company of her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kucharski was preceded in death by her first husband, William Mulrine; second husband, Leon B. Kucharski, Sr.; and sister, Dorothy Robinson. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Mazzola (Louis) of Edgewater, FL and Irene Samply of Richardson, TX; nieces, Kimberly Mazzola, Patrice Guadalupe (Bolivar) and Lori Mazzola-Tanghare (Frank); nephew, William Mazzola (Juli); step children, Leon Kucharski, Jr. (Elaine), Paul Kucharski, Billy Kucharski and Elaine Beardsley; 5 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.

  • What a sweet person and great neighbor….she would hang a goodie bag early in the morning on my fence….which always full of surprises….she will be missed…but I know she is in a better place ….and I am positive her and cookie are telling stories and jokes to each other…
