Loretta K. Milerski

April 26, 1929 - December 13, 2018

Loretta K. Milerski, age 89, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on April 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Viola Klosowski. Together with her husband, Loretta owned Milerski Used Furniture and Antiques. In her spare time, she enjoyed studying Astrology, a passion that spanned over 30 years.

We would like to especially thank Joanna Shea, our wonderful and special sister-in-law and the best caregiver we could ever have. Our mother loved her very much and so does our family. We also want to thank Seasons Hospice for their excellent care especially, Shaneeka, Ashley, Katie, Sam, the social workers, Mary the chaplain and Dr. Liu, who took care of my mother and took care of our family through our mom’s last days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Milerski; son-in-law, David Filiaggi; and was the last of six children. Loretta is survived by her daughters, Katherine M. Shea (Carey) of Newark, DE and Jeannette Filiaggi of Millsboro, DE; granddaughters, Stacy L. Silva (Kristopher), Lauren M. Shea, Lisa Queen (Jason), Vikki Mariotti (Michael), Stephanie Carlisle (Matthew) and Gina Filiaggi; and great grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha, Alaina, Vinny, Dakota, Savannah, Carson, Anthony, Anna, Jackson, Dylan, Kayla and Karli.

All services will be held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Loretta’s memory to the Delaware School for the Deaf, 630 E Chestnut Hill Rd, Newark, DE 19713.
