Marcella Catherine (Beck) Peters, age 68, of Conway, SC and formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 9, 1948, Marcy was a daughter of the late John H. and Marcella (Conrad) Beck. She made her career as a Realtor for over 30 years and most recently worked with Patterson-Schwartz. After her retirement, Marcy along with her husband, Charles relocated to Conway, SC.

Marcy adored arts and crafts of all kinds but especially liked completing stained glass projects. She enjoyed decorating her home and looked forward to setting up her annual Christmas village display during the holidays. In her leisure time, Marcy loved playing tennis, visiting the beach, savoring her favorite foods “ steamed crabs and crab soup and her Tottie Time. She cherished her family, her friends and her faithful canine companion, Buddy Boy.

In addition to her parents, Marcy was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Peters and a brother, Donald Beck. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles H. Peters; brothers, John Beck (Doris) and Charlie Beck (Jeannie); sisters, Linda Trickey (Robert) and Gloria Schaffeld (Mark); sister-in-law, Patricia Peters; daughter-in-law, Jill Peters; and a grandson, Sam.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. A second visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday morning, September 19, 2016 at the funeral home, where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marcy’s memory may be made to Embrace Hospice, 1301 Main Street, Conway, SC 29526.
