  • My mom was always happy. She always had a pleasant disposition they gave her a positive outlook on life. She always had a jingle or a song ready at any given moment. She was a great example to us eight kids. She supported us in anything we wanted to do. She came to all of the concert when I played in the school band in middle school. She came to visit when I lived in California when my sister Susan had her second child and we went to Ensenada Mexico! She always came out to support me when I started playing music in bars. She probably came out to hear me sing and play guitar 100 times which meant so much to me !
She came to visit me in Tennessee when she was 84 years old. She was always up for an adventure ! We drove to Chattanooga and sang the song “Chattanooga Choo-Choo” all the way there together. We hiked around Lookout Mountain and she walked across a rope bridge connecting two cliffs, amazing for an 84 year old. When she lost her vision and had to stop driving she somehow maintained her positive outlook. She would pass the time listening to hundreds of audio books on tape of detective stories. Mom and dad were married for 73 years and both lived to be 94 !
My mom was very religious and loved going to church.
She was a great example to us all on how to live life to the fullest!

  • Thank you Madeline and family. I know you understand and feel our sadness too. Love you!

  • Perfect description, Pete, of the perfect mother. The amount of energy that made up this woman is sure to be missed in this world of ours! I am in awe of the way she spread herself around for all of us to feel so loved and special. Our Mommy is surely in heaven and hopefully with her other extended family. We can’t possibly feel jealous of that. We had her for longer than most people get to have their mom. Rest In Peace, Mom. Love you with all my heart!

  • Our thoughts & prayers are with the entire family..

  • Mike said it best when he said, my mom is a saint. I always felt welcome in her home.
You will be missed mom! We will pray for you.

    Love and Rest in Peace
