Margaret McKinstry Maull

Mrs. Margaret McKinstry Maull, formerly of Uxbridge, MA, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Brentwood, NH.

Born in 1923 in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the Right Reverend Arthur R. and Isabelle Van Dorn McKinstry. As the daughter of an Episcopal minister, she lived in Albany, NY; San Antonio, TX, where she attended St. Marys Hall; Nashville, TN; and Wilmington, DE, where she graduated from Tower Hill School. She attended William Smith in Geneva, NY, and graduated from the College of William and Mary, VA. After graduation, Margaret worked at the A.I. DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. In 1951, she married Mr. John C. Maull at Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Bishopstead.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Maull, her daughters, Margaret Margot (Robert) Partridge of Westfield, NJ, and Elizabeth Anne Maull (Burton Beames) of Raleigh, NC; son, John Jack Maull (Martha Toy Fountain) of Exeter, NH; 7 grandchildren, John Partridge (Boston, MA), Laurette Partridge (Manhattan, NY), Thomas Maull (Raleigh, NC), Margaret Marty Maull (Washington, DC), Mary Grace Maull (Exeter, NH), Arthur and Tyler Beames (Raleigh, NC). Margaret was predeceased by her sisters, Isabelle M. Stadler (Jacksonville, FL) and Barbara M. Lawton (Oswego, NY). She is survived by brothers, James T. McKinstry and wife, Jane, of Wilmington, DE; and Arthur S. McKinstry and wife, Elaine, of Lake Wales, FL; and 8 nieces and nephews.

Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed modern dance, and hooked many wool rugs and wall hangings, which are prized by her family. A sense of humor was her strength to the end. She will be missed by all.

Margarets funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at St. Annes Episcopal Church, 15 E. Green Street, Middletown. Interment will follow in Old St. Annes Cemetery.
