Margaret S. (Short) Miller

Margaret S. (Short) Miller, age 85, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Evelyn (Moore) Short. Margaret was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and most recently at New Castle Methodist Church where she was an active member of the choir and was known to sing solos.

In her early years, she adored dancing with her husband, Aaron. Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren and looked forward to vacations at the beach with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Of 42 years, Aaron Miller; and brothers, William F. Short and Robert Moore. Margaret is survived by her son, Jack Reinholz (Beverly); daughter, Cynthia Roberts (Winston); and grandchildren; Sara Beach (Joe), Laura Reinholz, and Bryan Powell.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon, December 1, 2017,  at New Castle United Methodist Church, 510 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.

  • Dear Jack and Cindy and family,
    We would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother.
    Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
    (I still remember our parents getting together to play cards while us kids played board games.)
    My mother, Bea Colatriano, would like you to know that she will be keeping you in her prayers. Unfortunately, she is unable to attend.
    God bless you and keep you. May he comfort you in your time of grief. Just keep her in your hearts and she will always be with you.
