Marion C. Krapf

Marion C. Krapf, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2015 at Foulk Manor South in Wilmington.

Marion was born in Newark, DE, at the Cooches Bridge Farm of the late Frank Comly and Mabel Worrall Comly. A dedicated employee, Marion worked for eleven years for the first Vice-Chancellor of Delaware and later worked for the Wilmington Trust Company as a legal secretary for 19 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Howard Weston Senior Center in New Castle and the Peniel United Methodist Church in Newport. Marion was known for her kind and independent spirit, always being a lady, determination, and optimism.

In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Elwood Roe who died in 1968 and her second husband, Charles E. Krapf, Sr. who died in 1993. She is survived by her daughters, Robin and Carol.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where a visitation for family and friends will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Howard Weston Senior Center, 1 Bassett Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
