Marjorie F. Olazagasti, age 81, of Bear, DE died after a brief illness on Friday, May 13, 2016.

Born in Wilmington on April 20, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Murawska) Samluk. Marjorie made her career as an administrative aide for various New Castle County Councilmen, retiring after 11 years of dedicated service.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching classic movies, especially Westerns, and listening to music from the ˜60s and ˜70s, with a special fondness for Johnny Mathis. Above all else, she would give to others before herself.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Samluk and feline friends, Ulysses and Toby. She is survived by her children, Lainie Foxwell (Art) of Bear, Victoria Jacobson of Corvallis, Oregon and Mark R. Olazagasti (Katie) of Bear; sister, Anita Cole (Thomas) of Florida; grandchildren, Robert Rob Stewart, Erica Austin (Nathan), Andrea and Alex Olazagasti; and great grandchildren, Aaron and Eli Austin.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, DE.
