Marlene F. Curlett, age 60, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on December 3, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Erma (Giamarco) Gentile.  Marlene spent her career as a tax administrator for the State of Delaware.

Marlene was a member of Holy Family R.C. Church.  She enjoyed watching General Hospital.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson and will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, niece and dear friend.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Curlett, Jr.; and brother, Frank Gentile.  She is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Christopher) Carangi of Newark; brothers, Anthony and Ernie Gentile; uncle, John Gentile; and grandson, Aidan.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:15 am until 11:15 am on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Rd, Newark, DE, where a mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 am.  Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE.
