Martin R. Casula, age 84, of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2017.

Martin was born in Elsmere, DE on March 10, 1933, and was a son of the late James and Pansy (Riker) Casula. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Martin was a metal worker for Sheet Metal Local 19, retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed traveling to shuffleboard competitions all across the country.
In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Ellen Casula. He is survived by his children, Ronald (Olga), Timothy (Dottie), Nancy Casula, and Vicki Rash (Robert); brother, Lawrence (June); grandchildren, Ashley, Katelyn, Louis, Jessica and TJ Casula, Jack Martin, Genna and Ryker Ferraro, and Robert, Jacob and Michael Rash; and 3 great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:20 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711.

  • i am so sorry for the loss of your dad ..he was a good hearted man ….i know because how good he and your mother was to ke and my daughter tammy back in 1969 when i moved to delaware .forever thankful to them and loved them both so much…..you kids r in my thoughts and prayers..sorry i couldnt be there …lolly

  • So sorry for your loss. I will not be able to attend the funeral since we have to be at the hospital @ 10:00 AM and Mike will have his replacement for his left knee.
