Mary Elizabeth Morrow
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Morrow, age 45, of Bear, DE passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at her home.
Born on June 7, 1965, Mary was the dearly loved daughter of the late Robert Barclay and Linda Barclay. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Mary was a generous spirit with an open heart that deeply touched everyone she met. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She appreciated the playful innocence, genuine love, and caring nature that children have, because those were traits that she too personified, traits that many people lose sight of over time. Her family and friends will remember her eagerness to help anyone in need, and her constant giving of herself and her time.
Mary was a very active volunteer on the local and national level as an American Red Cross representative, and Armed Forces liaison for the state of Delaware. She served in the Ladies Auxiliary for the J. Allison ODaniel VFW Post #475, and was very active in assisting the honor guard with their duties. Additionally, Mary was the president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Cooties. She will be sadly missed by all who grew to know her.
Mary was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her beloved husband, John R. Morrow; mother, Linda Barclay; children, Kathleen A. Shahan, Christopher M. Arnold, Juli A. Morrow, and husband, Matthew, Tina M. Kusner, and husband, John, and Mindi M. Gontarz; brothers, Patrick L. Plummer and wife, Kitty and Eric M. Plummer; mother-in-law, Althea M. Morrow; grandmother, Mary C. Smith; and grandchildren, Juwan, John, Austin, Jaden, Samantha, Kamryn, Sydney, Cameron, Casidi, and Ricky. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 12 Noon, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE where friends may call from 11 am to 12 pm.
