Maureen F. (Murphy) Craskey, age 70, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 15, 1945, Maureen was a daughter of the late James E. and Maude (Detrich) Murphy. She made her career as a bookkeeper with Bear Industries, retiring after 29 years of dedicated service. Maureen enjoyed sharing a night out dancing with friends. Above all else, she adored her family and was happiest spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Craskey. She is survived by her son, Michael Craskey of Wilmington, DE; brothers, James Murphy of Broomall, PA and Philip Murphy of Coatesville, PA; sister, Patricia Quinn of Glenolden, PA; and longtime companion, Richard Miller.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Maureen’s memory be sent to the Limen House, P O Box 1306, Wilmington, DE 19899.

    Thank you for the many gifts you gave me. You will always be with me. The mom I made hot chocolate with as a child, went ice skating with as a young boy, and shared adult conversations with as a grown man. I miss you. I love you.
