  • Dear Ruth,
I just found out about the passing of Mike this morning while talking to Marvin White here in New Jersey. As you remember, Mike and I worked together at Fluor in Edgemoor, Delaware. You and Mike and my wife Cindy and I used to eat at Cracker Barrel in Pennsville, N. J. once in a while. Mike often came to see me while I was battling cancer over at Christiana back in 2011 and I will always be thankful for that, as he lifted my sole the whole time. I remember him as a great friend who would do whatever was needed to help a friend. As a firefighter he was well respected and although we never served together as firefighters, he and I talked a lot about the fire service. We also used to swap stories about our time in high school in New Jersey where he attended Penns Grove High School (Re-Hi) and I attended Salem High School. We both served in Vietnam and we had many conversations about that. I will miss him very much, even though we had not kept in touch as much as we should have. Take care Ruth.

  • I have no words to express the hole that has been left in all our hearts. It was an honor for me and Jack to call Larry a friend…just a phone call away; always there when he was needed…in snowstorms; at 1:00am; didn’t matter to him. He will be missed! RIP Dear Friend.
My prayer for Dear Ruth and the family is for strength and understanding at this time of loss…one foot in front of the other; baby steps will help. We are also a phone call away as you know. xo
