28 Condolences for Noo Mangat

  • My deepest sympathy to all of Noo’s loved ones. He was happiest just being around his family. Only the wonderful memories he left will help to ease the pain of his passing.

  • I met Noo at the Western Y during an exercise class and was so impressed by his fitness, his youthful outlook, and his persistent friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to know him as I would have liked to as he fell ill and would not return to the Y. There was always hope and I would check in regularly with his wife Jane to see how he was doing. He was a courageous man and it was a great fortune to get to know him if only for a short while.

Condolences and healing thoughts are sent to his loving family and his many friends. May his memory always bring you solace and happiness.

  • Jane and family

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Noo will always hold a special place in our hearts. We had the pleasure to have our son Michael play for him for many years and spent many fun nights and weekends with our soccer families.

    Rest in Peace Noo

  • Noo has always been one of my favorite people. When I arrived at Hercules he was assigned as my guide/mentor. We remained good friends for all of those Hercules years, Whenever we saw each other our discussion was sometimes about Hercules, but most often about our families. . My deepest condolences to Jane, Matt and the other children.

  • Jane,

  • Jane and family,

I am so sorry for your loss of Noo, he will be missed but never forgotten. My heartfelt sympathy for you and your family.

  • jane and family, I was crushed to hear that Noo could not stay in this world any longer, but I was relieved that he was able to spend 36 years with the various parts of his extended family. healing hearts is the most important task we can accomplish here on earth for the short period that we share this step in our creation. Noo touched my heart instantly and although only meeting him a few times, was so dedicated and unselfish about his giving even when his days were numbered. you can rest a sure that spirits such as Noo will continue to bless this world and more to come. I only wish there were more like Noo in this world, there really are so few, and yet we need so many. From his next step he will continue his work, I know he is that dedicated to life that life will never leave him, and he will never leave those left behind until you meet again.
    with love,
    randy

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at Hercules years ago and I always enjoyed hid conversations. I have also delivered to his home and talked with him there. I will truly miss him and will always remember him whenever I am in that neighborhood. Prayers are with your family.

  • We worked together at Hercules Inc.. I admired how Noo was able to come into the paper group and become one of the family so quickly. We also shared a love for soccer and often found each other at the kirkwood soccer club watching our boys play. Our deepest sympathy to you Jane and the boys. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

  • So very sorry to lose such a lovely man. My heartfelt sympathy to Jane and all the family and friends who will miss him so much.

  • Jane, I thought that it would be unique for me to say that although I only knew Noo a short time, that from the first time I met Noo I instantly liked him. But after reading the entries in this guestbook I find that liking Noo was contagious. And so it is with deep regret that I am extending my condolences. The lose of Noo is indeed a great one and I will miss the ease in which he engaged me when I visited. For me genius is not always measured by accomplishments, but in how you touch other people. In this, Noo was a true genius. Love Jim

  • Jane and family,

We are so very sad for all of you.

We will keep all of you in our prayers.

We have many happy memories of Noo and each of you. As our sons Greg (KSC Scorpions) and Matt (KSC Cannons) practiced, and played on the field, we enjoyed making very good friends with the parents of the team members on the sidelines. We are grateful to you Jane for supporting Noo through the years when his coaching efforts required so much time with all of us (his soccer family). As we look back we realize that we spent over twelve years traveling with Noo and Jane and Matthew, Steven, Jeffrey and Daniel. Noo was a very important figure in the lives of our sons, and for the families of the players.

We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to share so much time with all of you through the years. Please know that our prayers and sincere condolences are with you.

I first met Noo at university and we had been friends ever since, even though we lived on opposite sides of the world. A really wonderful man, clever, modest and loyal with a great sense of humour. We will all miss him on this side of the pond.

  • Dear Jane and Family
I was privileged today to attend the Encomium (yes, I had to look it up) for Noo. What a beautiful tribute! I only knew Noo in passing in the Y and you just a little more. The joy in your smile that I now know flooded your long marriage to Noo endures only in requited love. My sympathy goes out to you and your entire family. Regards, Bill

  • Dear Jane and family,
You have my deepest condolences. Although it has been a few years since we last saw each other, Noo and your family have been special people in my life. We all orbited the beautiful game and took great enjoyment in those shared memories. I always took pride either coaching with Noo or on the other side of the mid stripe as your boys played the adversary. It always brought a smile to see your sons grow and to know that both of you were there to cheer them on. I was so shocked to hear of his passing and dearly miss such a wonderful person.

On behalf of the whole Thompson family, you are in our thoughts.
Be comforted that we honor Noo as a friend, mentor and coach. We miss him.

    Greg

  • I am shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news. I had the pleasure of working with Noo at Hercules in the 1980s and early 1990s. From the beginning I was impressed by Noo’s knowledge, judgment and ability. He was a highly effective leader, respected and well-liked by all. My condolences to Jane and the family.
