Norris L. Graham
Norris L. Graham Buzz Mr. Norris L. Graham, 63, of Newark, DE, passed from this life after a long illness on Friday, March 18, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis P. and Frances R. Graham, and by his brother R. Terry Graham.
He graduated from Newark High School in 1965, and was a painter by profession. He was very athletic, loved sports, and was a tennis champ and softball star. He taught tennis at Chase Tennis Center. He loved watching Wimbledon and Davis Cup tennis championships, and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Buzz was an accomplished musician who played 5 instruments and was a member of numerous bands in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. His beautiful voice and perfect pitch were well known. He sang with Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge when they performed in Delaware in the early 80s. Above all else, Buzz was a dedicated family man. He loved and adored his grandchildren, who will miss their Z-daddy very much.
Buzz will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 18 years, Carol C. (Chris) Graham; son, Jeffrey F. Graham, and wife, Stacy; daughter, Traci L. Henn, and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Sheyanne and Travis Graham, Nathan Dize, and Eric and Lindsay Henn; and his beloved dog, Ireland. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Graham; nephew, Rick Graham, and wife, Jody; niece, Jocy Surface, and husband, Wayne and their children.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where friends and family may call from 6 pm to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Faithful Friends Inc., a no-kill animal shelter, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
