Patricia Ann Taylor Lanspeary, age 69, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Born in Wilmington, DE on January 21, 1946, Patricia was a daughter of Arthur Taylor and Gertrude (Hill) Taylor. She received her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Manor College in Jenkintown, PA. Patricia made her career as a customer service representative in the banking industry where she worked until her retirement.

An enthusiastic genealogist, Patricia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur and by her beloved husband, Keith Lanspeary. Patricia is survived by her sons, Adrian J.T. Lanspeary (Yaryna N. Ferencevych) of Hunter, NY and Gavin M.T. Lanspeary (Laura) of New Castle; mother, Gertrude, of Wilmington; sisters, Gertrude Gorman of New Castle, Frances Cordrey of Wilmington and Barbara DiMondi of Holly Springs, NC; and 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Friday afternoon, March 20, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:30 pm until 3 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.

  • I worked with Pat at Bank of America. She was a good friend and person. My thoughts and prayers to the family. My she rest in peace and not be forgotten.

  • I had the pleasure of working with Pat for a number of years at Fleet/Bank of America. I am sorry to hear of her passing and extend my condolences to her family. She dearly loved her family and spoke of her children and grandchildren often. I’ll remember Pat for her kind heart and great sense of humor. I’m happy to have known her and will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers. We’ll miss you, Pat!

  • My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I graduated from Ursuline Academy with Pat. We were happy to visit with her at the Reunion Luncheon last April.

  • I too worked with Pat back in the Fleet/Bank of America days and will always remember how she would say “yeessz ” and bat her eyes as she said it. She was always kind and loved her family especially her sons and grandchildren. Pat you will be missed “the English Rose”.
