Patsy R. Reedy, age 75, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016.

Born in Tazewell, VA on March 4, 1941, Patsy was a daughter of the late Herbert and Inez (Stanley) Pennington. She graduated from Tazewell High School and moved to Delaware in 1959. Patsy loved bingo, gardening, her Wednesday shopping and lunch excursions with the girls and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Connell (Larry) and Yvonne Welcher (Jim) and a brother, Kenneth Pennington.

Patsy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 42 years, Charles; children, Donna Shaver (Mike), David Lee and Beverly Plotner (Scott); brother, Roger Pennington (Trish); sister, Linda Marra; grandchildren, Derrek, Chasidy, Amanda (Ken), David, Joshua (Jessica), James and Nathan; great grandchildren, Derrek Jr., Tye, Kailyn, Ameris, Kayleigh, Gauge, Brandon, Grayson, Addison, Layne, Henry, Elaina and Emily; brother-in-law, Jerry (Jean); sister-in-law, Ruth; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Monday evening, May 16, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday morning, May 17, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patsy’s memory may be made to the Christiana Care Center for Heart & Vascular Health, 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Rd., Suite 1E30, Newark, DE 19718.
