Paul A. Breswick

Paul A. Breswick, age 87, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Born on August 12, 1926 in Drexel Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Grace Breswick.
Paul was a graduate of Temple University, where he earned a business degree. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

For many years, Paul enjoyed working in sales with Speakman Company in Wilmington.
He was a devoted member of Christiana United Methodist Church.

In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed fishing and rooting for all Philadelphia sports teams. He especially loved the Delaware beaches and Jersey shore.

Paul will always be remembered as a generous and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary C. Klein Breswick; three children, Curt P. Breswick (Claire) of Georgetown, KY, Lynn C. Broomall (Stephen) of Newark, DE and Ellen J. Bowles of Elkton, MD; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where friends may visit with his family from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christiana United Methodist Church, 21 W. Main Street, Christiana, DE 19702 or to the Newark Senior Center, 200 Whitechapel Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
