PAUL A. REGENER, SR.

Born November 29, 1928

Paul A. Regener, Sr., age 86, of Middletown, DE, formerly of New Castle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on January 16, 2015, in the Seasons Hospice In-Patient Unit at Christiana Hospital in Newark.

Mr. Regener was a native Delawarean; born in New Castle on November 29, 1928, son of the late Frederick Regener and Elsie Stidham Regener. He had been a printer for the former Star Color Press Army Times in Wilmington and later went to work for The News-Journal in New Castle. Mr. Regener was an outdoorsman who was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening, dancing and especially spending time at gatherings with his beloved family. In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Regener was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Durney Regener who passed away in 2011; son, Edward C. Regener; son-in-law, Robert Rollins; two great grandchildren, Reagan and Ryan; two sisters; and 2 brothers. He is survived by his children, Linda A. McCall (Michael) of Middletown, DE, Paul A. Regener, Jr. (Jane) of Wilmington, DE, Michael P. Regener of Middletown, DE and Lori A. Rollins of Middletown, DE; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, were family and friends my visit from 10 am until 11 am.
Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, Delaware State Chapter, 236-C N. James Street, Newport, DE 19804.
