Pauline May Clark
Mrs. Pauline May Clark, age 91, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010.
Mrs. Clark was born in Harrington on January 25, 1919, daughter of the late Nathan Stubbs and Ella Ruth Glandin Stubbs. A talented homemaker and gifted cook, she devoted her life to caring for her beloved family.
Mrs. Clark was a devout Christian and lifelong member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Newark, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a talented musician, as well, and enjoyed both playing the mandolin and listening to gospel music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville A. Clark, in 1993, and her daughter, Shirley A. Sharpe, in 2008. She is survived by her grandchildren, James W. Kelly of Newark, William M. Kelly (Alice) of Newark, Sharon Delgado (Jorge) of Bear, Carlene Glanden (Brian) of Elkton, MD, and David Kelly (Dolores) of Georgetown; niece, Marie Morris of Milford; 9 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, December 3rd, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 4th, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
