Peggy A. Dillon, age 78, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016, after a long battle with COPD.

Born in Newark, DE on April 10, 1937, Peggy was the daughter of the late John L. Moore, Sr. and Gladys Moore-Haley. She devoted her life to raising her family and was a talented homemaker.

In her leisure time, Peggy enjoyed reading, completing word searches and crossword puzzles and watching professional wrestling on television. She adored spending time with her family and was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Peggy will be long remembered for her sharp wit and wise cracking personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman E. Dillon. Peggy is survived by her brother, John L. Moore, Jr. (Gladys) of Bear; sons, Russell L. Dillon (Jodi) of Lewes and Gary E. Dillon (Lauren) of Bear; daughter, Florence E. Hudak (Bob) of Townsend. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Delaware Hospice and Shore Care for the loving and supportive care they provided to Peggy.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy’s memory may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Second Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
