Raymond W. Simpkiss
Raymond W. Simpkiss, 67, of Mocksville, NC, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.
He was born September 17, 1944 in Wilmington, DE, a son of Kenneth C. and Mary E. Pratt Simpkiss Sr.
Surviving are three daughters, Suzzanne M. (Andre) KillKelley of Dayton, OH, Kristin L. McBride of North East, MD, and Jennifer R. Wright of Mocksville; grandchildren, Matthew C. KillKelley, Kaitlyn M. KillKelley, Tyler J. McBride, and Sarah R. Wright; Paul H. Harvey III who was like a son; two stepsons, Wade H. (Tracy) Horseman of Aston, PA, Bryan M. (Kim) Horseman of Lincoln University, PA; and two brothers, Robert G. Simpkiss of Monson, MA, and Kenneth C. Simpkiss Jr. of Gainesville, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James F. Simpkiss.
Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was employed as a courier for Rcs Express in Kernersville, NC and formerly employed by Ryland Homes in Charlotte, NC.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel in Clemmons, NC. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, DE.
